Our fab team at SAFE is always growing, but we’re sad to say goodbye to some of our much-loved staff.

Angie

Angie has been our fabulous Volunteer Coordinator based in Swansea for the past three years. She started popular Swansea café Hoogah in 2017 serving yummy, locally sourced food. Alongside this, Angie runs our Barista Programme; training young people in coffee-making, educating about Fairtrade and highlighting global issues.

Angie has decided to give her position as Volunteer Coordinator a fond farewell to focus on Hoogah full time. We’ll miss her here at SAFE but wish her all the best at Hoogah serving the best coffee around!

Jade

Our lovely trustee Jade is leaving us to pursue her career. Jade started as a volunteer in the office, and following various international projects she became a trustee. We love Jade’s passion to give back to the community by helping disadvantaged, young people gain experience and skills. Jade is onto bigger things so we’ll miss her here at SAFE but wish her all the best in her future ventures.

We want to say a big SAFE welcome to our new recruits:

Siân

Siân first got involved in SAFE nearly 9 years ago as a passionate supporter, fundraiser and friend of the charity. Her company ‘Hapus Training’ is a mental health organisation providing support and education to improve mental wellbeing. Siân uses SAFE HQ as a base for Hapus, and we love having her positivity and warmth here.

Siân is going to be taking the reins from Angie as Swansea’s Volunteer Coordinator. She says: “I love working with SAFE so I am thrilled to join as Volunteer Coordinator!”

Spencer

Spencer has been actively involved with SAFE for nearly 5 years. He went abroad to Uganda on a SAFE international development project. Since then, Spencer has been a consistent supporter as a beneficiary volunteer and has been actively and passionately involved with the work SAFE do.

We can’t wait to now welcome Spencer as a trustee to help with the fundamental decision making of the charity.

Annie

Annie works as a solicitor and is an enthusiastic SAFE supporter and close friend of director Hannah. She has been a friend of SAFE for years but wanted to become more involved with the running of our fab charity. Annie is joining as a new trustee and we can’t wait to have her on board.

From SAFE we want to say thanks for everything to Angie and Jade, and a big SAFE welcome to our lovely new group joining the force!
