There are many exciting opportunities to volunteer with The SAFE Foundation. We rely on our volunteers to provide support for SAFE’s continuing work to help underpriviledged communities throughout the world, assisting in poverty relief, improving health and access to education. Overseas Volunteer Programmes Each year SAFE runs volunteer programmes in our projects around the world. From teaching and cultural exchange in India to health outreach and construction programmes in Ghana, there are a wide range of opportunities for people wanting to experience a different culture while making a difference in a community overseas. UK Festivals Every summer SAFE joins in with the UK tradition of the great Music Festival season! Attending up to ten festivals each year, we take a team of volunteers with the SAFE yurt and fundraise by creating the SAFE space, serving hot drinks and cake, face-painting all the kids(and adults!), holding workshops promoting global awareness, and generally creating a great space for people to come hang out, have fun and help people across the world while doing it. Volunteers help in running the safe space and are expected to work throughout the days, whilst the evenings are free to go and enjoy the great music and atmoshpere the festival has to offer. Organise a Fundraising Event We have an array of wonderful supporters who create their own fundraising events in aid of The SAFE Foundation and you can be one too. People have organised music gigs, halloween parties, got a team together for fun runs, performed pantos with all proceeds going directly to the projects SAFE runs.
