Water for Sierra Leone Appeal

Hi Everyone.. Check out our newest project in Sierra Leone. We are partnering local NEETs(16-25 year olds Not in Employment, Education or Training) with children in Freetown, Sierra Leone for a 2 week project doing life skills and football coaching workshops! The project is a partnership between The SAFE Foundation, Cardiff East Communities First, Forging Links and The Craig Bellamy Foundation.

We’re raising funds to provide all the water needed for the project to keep the kids and NEETs hydrated in the hot african sun!

Uganda Appeal – Solar Power Battery

With Lou’s visit to Uganda fast approaching, we are raising funds to equip our project with solar power. We have raised the funds for the solar panels, woot woot! Ghana Play Equipment – First Pics!!

The first pictures from one of our Ghana projects have come back to us and we’re SO super excited to see our kiddies playing on the equipment we were able to ship out earlier this year. The playground gets rotated around schools with no recreation facilities, (which means all of them in Kumasi!) and the rental monies earned goes towards our bigger project helping children with HIV and AIDS in the slum areas of the city.

Cardiff PAT Test

We want to say a huge Thank You to Gerald and all at Cardiff PAT Test, who very kindly donated their services and did all our Portable Appliance Testing so we’re ready to go to all the festivals this summer!

Thanks Guys, you saved us a lot and were very lovely to boot.

We have a couple of Big Thank you’s to say here at SAFE…

Graig-Y-Racca Primary School
A huge Thank you to all the children of Graig-Y-Racca primary school and especially class UKS2 for their wonderful donation of £64! The kids did a sponsored Fancy Dress Walk in September after we went to talk to them about what we do here at SAFE. The donation will pay for books and school supplies for the children in our India Project. Thanks guys, you are all little Stars!

A massive Thank you to Lucy & Rich who are so amazing they used their wedding! as a fundraiser, taking along donation tins and an information board so their guests could help SAFE. They raised £81 which will go towards our project in Kumasi, Ghana. Thank you so much guys, you are truly wonderful!
